Our stay at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto was great! Our son, daughter-in-law and 2-year-old grandson stayed in the adjoining room which was very convenient. We enjoyed him knocking on our door each morning and he really enjoyed looking out at the plaza in front of City Hall: so many cars, buses, and trucks! He also enjoyed running through the fountains on the plaza, as it was such a hot weekend! We all loved going to the pool, which was great. We really like how the services there have been upgraded since our last visit. with a designated bar and barbeque area with picnic tables. Our one complaint is that other guests would leave towels on the chairs and couches to 'save' them, though this doesn't seem right when they are not in the pool area, especially when it is so crowded.
The staff was very professional and welcoming when we checked in. Our requests for fridges, a crib, and robes were quickly met.
The restaurant in the lobby was just adequate, nothing special and the staff seemed a bit frazzled, perhaps as it was quite crowded. However, the hotel location is very convenient to other options in the area.
Our other disappointment was that there were no Canada Day fireworks in the City Hall Plaza as there had been last year. But we were able to see some in the distance and by then our grandson had gone to sleep.
We like this hotel so much that we are returning for Labor Day!
